Dear CCHYCO,

20th April marks an important day to all of us.
This is the day when we all share the same goal, the same dream : TO ACHIEVE A GOLD WITH HONOURS IN SYF'09.
and at 6.15pm ( i think ) :
"第五间，中正中学义顺，Chung Cheng High Yishun. *LONG PAUSE* 荣誉金."
At that moment, everyone was jumping with joy. After all the hardwork, all the tears, all the scoldings, everything is worth; 5months of practice.

We started practicing the SYF pieces since the December camp. Everyone was thrilled to have their hands on the choice piece as we need to 'sing' which looks so cool. On the last day of the camp, we ran through both songs and there were MANY rooms of improvement. As time passed, both of them got better and better and better, until we have to go through the songs bit by bit to look out for minor problems. And throughout this 5months of practice, I realised that I had cried for 3times. Each time is always for the same reason : all of you doesnt want to put in the effort to 'sing'. All of you were thrilled to perform this song, yet not much effort was put into it.

Ever since the balloting, we talked abt this SYF from months to weeks to days to hours and to THE MOMENT OF IT. and at every practice, there must always be sth for me to 'scream' abt : PUNCTUALITY. Soon after, I gave up. There is no point for me to keep shouting at all of you; so just be it.

Last week was a tiring to all.
Practicing from monday to sunday, for almost 3hours everyday. It was tiring to everyone, i understand. What were all this preparation for? FOR 20THAPRIL09 SYF CENTRAL JUDGING COMPETITION. 5months of practice in exchange of 20minutes of performance up on stage; and that 20mins determine what award you will get. Sometimes, do you think whether it is fair anot. Sometimes I find that it is not fair. 5months of practice, and yet you cant get what you want, it is totally very upsetting. But on the bright side, it is fair. Why? Simple. It is the matter of putting your heart into the song.

SUNDAY, 19th APRIL
Everyone practiced from 2.30pm to abt 7.30pm. It was VERY tiring and all have to reach school at 6am the next day. During practice, it went well. When Zhaolaoshi went off and we practiced 走台, everyone was chattering away when we were outside the MPH. Junhong was trying to get us to listen, yet no one bothers to listen. Thats why I shouted. Junhong has already told you, whatever you are practicing now, is equal to tmrw.

TODAY, 20th APRIL
At SCH, on standby, everyone was feeling very nervous, including me. Everyone's heart is beating against the chest very hard. And when it is our turn to get on the stage, everyone started to feel the stress laying upon them. Up on stage, the chairs were left what they aint suppose to be. Some of you got a shock.
The Song Of Cicada was played, I tried to smile to give all of you encouragement. The song went VERY WELL; better than I expected. When the song ended, everyone was anxious as they were afraid that they would play the wrong note.
Next came our choice piece. The beginning went VERY WELL too; the 'singing' was the best that everyone had a shock in. It was so loud and it echoed through the whole SCH. The last note was the one that everyone was VERY satisfied with.
On the way off the stage, some of the girls cried. What is the reason for them to cry? I dont know. But i know one thing for sure, we didnt expect it to be so well; we have really put in our BEST effort to play both songs.
After listening to some schools, the time to release the results is ready.
When we heard that we had achieved Gw/H, all was jumping with joy.
ALL THE EFFORT HAD BEEN PUT OFF; IT IS ALL WORTH, NOTHING IS UNFAIR NOW.

However, CCHYCO. This is the end of a story, but a beginning of another.
The journey that we are going to encounter now will be a long and hard route.
We had achieved a Gw/H, now we need to learn how to SUSTAIN this award for each SYF now. This is the difficult path to walk. But I know that all of you are capable of it and you can do it.
HAVE FAITH WITH YOURSELF AND EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

So CCHYCO, continue to strive ahead and glory will definitely be brought to you. (:
